How can I safely put on weight and build muscle?

Also, would protein drinks and similar products that can be bought in most stores be of help? Would the accelerate the process?

What’s the best and/or quickest way to build muscle mass on the inside and outside of the upper arm?

I don’t really have a place with exercising equipment so… I need exercises that you only need like a bar or dumbells to use…

If you are trying to build muscle and rip out your abs is it good to do cardio for 40 minutes 4 times a week?

I weigh 150 lbs, I am 5′11”
And if I want to build muscle will I have to consume more calories than I am now or will I just need to eat more protein, since protein is the only macro molecule that is used in building muscle through via amino acids as building blocks. So it makes no sense to eat more carbs or fat than I am at the moment to build muscle.
